What is Inner Conflict?
Inside us all, there's often some kind of inner struggle.
A struggle between our different wants and needs, our opposing values, our clashing life directions. It’s not a fight we have with others but a feeling of conflict within ourselves. This is confusing. This is painful. This is inner conflict. This is being torn.
Why The Torn Project?
Because being torn is being human.
Being torn can be hard. Being torn often means becoming overwhelmed, hurt, stuck. But there are ways we can regain balance. There are ways we can help others regain balance. And we can all contribute, benefit and feel less alone if inner conflict becomes a public conversation.
The Torn Project is a platform to collect, curate and communicate experiences, ideas and resolutions to help navigate the torn experience. We want to reach those who are torn, supporters of the torn, practitioners and those who are simply curious. We are starting a public conversation which sees inner conflict as normal, natural and necessary to our development as human beings.
