We love: Befrienders Worldwide

Befrienders Worldwide is a global network of organisations offering non-judgemental emotional support to people struggling to cope, and to those who are supporting them.

Although the network focus is often on those at risk of suicide, you can contact them in any situation where you're finding life difficult, including when you are experiencing inner conflict.

The network, which is coordinated by the Samaritans charity, has over 400 centres in 38 countries and offers support in up to 240 languages. All centres share the same core mission.

Most branches of the network offer listening support 24/07, 365 days a year, for free – on the phone, by email, by post, online and face-to-face. Their trained volunteers don't analyse, judge, or tell you what to do.

The best way to contact a local centre of Befrienders Worldwide is through their website https://befrienders.org. Their Need to Talk? page will help you find a helpline in your country or region.
